Facilitation
We offer a range of facilitation services to help you and your organisation. Whether you require facilitation support to kick off a particularly challenging project, to develop your people strategy, to evolve your organisational culture, to foster teambuilding – we can help. With experience facilitating small and large groups, we can offer a range of approaches from “World Cafe” to facilitating Decision Making, all tailored to your needs.
External facilitation provides an impartial perspective that fosters clarity, encourages open dialogue, and guides groups toward achieving their goals with efficiency and collaboration. By bringing in a skilled facilitator, teams can unlock their full potential, overcome challenges, and reach consensus more effectively than they might on their own.”
Recent examples of facilitation work completed, helping people build connections and deliver to their customers:
Kick-Off for Major Infrastructure Project: A multi-disciplinary group of stakeholders came together to begin the planning and development of a major infrastrucutre project. After contracting with participants to agree outcomes / outputs for the session and how we would work together, we facilitated a series of sessions, plenary and small groups to get the group to their agreed outcomes.
Upskilling Day for Programme Facilitators: A day arranged to bring together 70 internal facilitators for an organisation-wide behavioural safety / wellbeing programme. A day created around an agenda involving small group work, team challenges, upskilling learning, feed-forward and competitions between teams. Our role was to deliver the agenda, facilitate dialogue, challenge and help the participants appreciate the contribution they are making towards a new organistional culture!
World Cafe Event: An open event for a charitable organisation designed to develop ideas for the future and build bridges with a volunteer community. We held pre-event discussions to enable the key stakeholders to decide on the format (they chose World Cafe), then at the event itself, created a safe, but unstructured space along World Cafe principles (including layout) such that after contracting with everyone, the individuals were able to shape the space, discussion, ideas and outcomes. What an exciting, novel and creative outcome they created!
Sound Familiar?
Peter Drucker is often attributed as uttering these sage words – whether he did or not, the reality they capture is one we often experience in organisations.
Is your business plan being hampered or even hijacked by elements of your organisation’s culture?
How can we help?
We facilitate a series of sessions with key stakeholders across the business (and sometimes beyond) to build an understanding and appreciation of current strategy and culture, both the visible and the invisible. Our aim is to understand the actual beliefs, attitudes and assumptions that underpin the way your organisation works – more often than not, these are different to those you print in your staff handbook or on your reception wall!
We then present our findings back to you and invite you to explore how the current culture enables the delivery of your existing strategy and how that culture may need to evolve for the organisation to pivot towards a new strategy. Where relevant, we can help you re-develop your Vision and Strategy, facilitating the conversations that enable you to translate your customer-centric goals into a strategic road map.
We work with you and your teams to give voice to the cultural changes that are required, facilitating conversations which begin to change the narrative, creating change from within your organisation. We create the space for the right conversations – your people then decide on and make the changes required.
We help you define milestones to assess your progress against. In all our inputs, we help build competence and confidence within your organisation to continue our work through internal facilitation, thus not only helping you move forward now, but in building a lasting legacy and ongoing capability to evolve your organisational culture.
